Family, Beach, and Daytona Racetrack

We took a lil' trip this past weekend. We were blessed to have the oppurtunity to visit with family who came from all directions to meet the newest member of our extended family. Our sweet neice was born last month!

While all together, we took a lot of pictures. Taking family pictures is fun, but even more fun when the background is just breathtaking! I think we did a pretty good job with having 9 kids in the picture, and taking the picture using my camera propped up on table.

We then traveled to Daytona for some fun on the beach.
We started out putting lil' man in his seat on the sand.

He was playing with his toys till he noticed the delicious looking stuff sitting all around him. He then proceded to eat the sand. His smile let me know that he thought this sand was tasty!
So we moved him to the water where he could splash and play.

He loved it for while till he realized that he could explore this strange place with his new crawling skills. As you can see in the pictures below, he LOVED it!

The beach was beautiful, empty, clean, and not too hot.
Just the way we like it!

Dinner at Bubba Gumps was delicious!

A visit to the Daytona Racetrack was our last stop
We were able to go on a tour of this massive place. I had no idea how big this race track was. During the Daytone 500, they squeeze 249,00 people in seats and RV's to enjoy a very long race. The seats range from $50 to $800 a seat. This is a very big money making machine!

We enjoyed the facts, the kids enjoyed the games!

Morikami Fieldtrip

Homeschoolers + Morikami Musuem = great education in Japanese culture

This tree is 400 years old! Amazing!
These Bonsai trees are traditionally passed down from generation to generation in the same family. That is such a beautiful thing! Imagine caring for a tree that was cared for by your Great-great-great-grandmother.

Dedication Day

We had a Dedication Service for our lil' man on Sunday. What a beautiful time it was with friends and family!
I loved what our Pastor had to say about the importance of Mark and I having a healthy marriage and a solid relationship with God. This is so true! It was a good dose of inspiration for our parenting journey :o)
The worship time was so amazing to me! There is something so beautiful about a group of people singing praises to God, but it is even more awesome when it is a group of people whom you love and cherish so much!
Thanks for making the day so special!

After the serivce, my neice took lil' man on a photo shoot. Here's a couple of shots.
