A Wedding and some Summer Fun

Can I tell you how excited we were to have phase 1 of our renovation done. :o) For the past 2 months, we have had no dining room table. With 5 kids, that can get messy. The kids have gotten used to too much freedom. So, I was so excited when we moved the dining room table back into the house. This evening we had our first dinner back in our dining room. We excitedly set the table and waited for Dad to come home.
While I was waiting, Michael spotted some corn bread up on the table and proceeded to climb up and get one. I came in the room to see this....
I yelled for my daughter to get the camera(while at the same time making sure he was safe), so I could get a shot. Our little monkey keeps me on my toes!

After dinner, we enjoyed some time outside

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of joining close family friends at a wedding celebration!
What a great day it was! We got to enjoy great fellowship, and take part in celebrating such a special occasion.

This is one of the few shots I got of the beautiful Bride and handsome Groom.

My FAVORITE picture of the night!!! This is getting framed for sure!!

The Roller Coaster of Life

The 2 weeks have been amazing, exhausting, wonderful, scary, and just about every other adjective I can think of.

There were highs and lows, but in the end I have a Dad that got a new liver exactly 2 weeks ago. He is now at home recovering and doing it well. Thanks for all the prayers and wonderful thoughts! Does he not look fantastic!? He is still in pain, swollen, and dealing with a lot of side effects, but he is alive and looking forward to the future.

My lil' sis is still pregnant and patiently waiting.

Home renovations are still going strong. I would have had more recent pictures to share, but I can't remember where I packed my camera battery charger :o)

Kids are doing great. Healthy and happy. We're schooling through the summer, so we are pretty busy.

Below are some radom pictures that I took before the camera died

Almost 3 years ago, we were blessed to be able to purchase my in-laws house. It was the house that my husband grew up in that held so many memories for him. There were also many great memories for me and the kids as well! We love our home, but have always planned to tweak it to better fit our family and life style. After more then 8 months of planning, we have finally began renovations. We're tweaking the floor plan, adding on a few rooms, and closing in the garage to give the company more work space.
Here is a glimpse into our home in the midst of demolition

A friend stopped by the other day. He had a motorcycle, which really impressed the kids. When he left, they all went to watch him drive off.

Spring Band Concert

Her 1st year of band has come to an end. :o)
There was such a big difference between the mid-year concert and this one. These kids did a great job! Congrats to our favorite clarinet player!
